Who are we?

TASK is a ministry of small UK charity formed in 1997 to help Christians who need advice and training before taking up professional and business appointments abroad. Since April 2007 it is part of the ministry of Global Connections.

How do we see ourselves?

As a SIGNPOST challenging professional, trades, and business people to serve overseas, to consider God's call on their lives, and to guide to suitable opportunity areas.
As a LONGSTOP, filling a gap in the market, trying to ensure that nobody sets out without adeqate spiritual and practical preparation.

What does TASK offer?

A personal advice and mentoring service on preparation for overseas service.
Suggestions for areas of opportunity (not actual jobs, and we do not recruit).
Guidance on training possibilities, including distance learning courses. See our TRAINING page for more details.

Who would be interested?

Christians going abroad in the course of their careers or business lives.

Those who have professional, trades, and business skills to offer to other nations.
Those who have a call to "tentmaker" mission.
Those with a desire to minister cross-culturally, but lack confidence and training.
Those whose overseas ministry has yet to be affirmed by home churches.
Those who need more spiritual equipping before going.
